This and That in My Quilty World Part Two

I had planned in this blog post to share the progress that I had made on my UFO’s during the last three months of the year, but decided at the last minute to continue with my “This and That” blog instead. It was a busy fall -- both in the sewing room and out -- and I want to share those things with you while they are still fresh in my mind. In October we took a trip to Dubuque for the annual Jr High Honor Band at Loras College at which I have conducted the past six years. Most of my blogs report on something involving my sewing room — finishing UFO’s, a tour of my studio, sharing my favorite tools. However, I don’t spend all of my time in the sewing room - although it probably seems like I do! There are some quilty and non-quilty things that I like to do when I’m not in that room. The Final Five Fantastic Rows

My 2018 Row By Row quilt is another step closer to being finished as I was able to complete the final Rows during this past month. Normally the Row By Row quilts feature eight Rows, however, I found that I needed an extra Row for this quilt in order to make it a size that was proportional. As a result I had five Rows left to stitch. And I needed to find another Row after the deadline for the Row By Row Experience had passed. Luckily I had the perfect Row in mind to add to the others that I had previously collected - a Row that I had recently seen at Quilt Stitches in Beatrice.
