Resounding Resolutions for 2019

It only took fifty-something years but I finally found a New Year’s resolution that worked! Last January I took inventory of my Unfinished Objects (UFO’s) and resolved to see how many I could finish. I started the year with seven projects and was able to complete four of them and make progress on two others. In 2018 I also made four other quilts for myself as well as completing 41 customer quilts and 41 Quilts of Valor. I would say it was a successful quilting year!! I’m fairly certain that I would not have made much if any progress on those projects that had been sitting around for several years had I not made a list and a determined effort to make progress on them. The Final Assessment for 2018

It is time for the last quarterly update of my 2018 Unfinished Objects (UFO’s). In October, November, and December of last year I completed 13 customer quilts and seven Quilts of Valor. I also completed two quilts for myself - the fall wool quilt and a Limelight quilt made from Iowa Hawkeye fabric - and I made progress on three others - the 2018 Row By Row quilt, the English Paper-Piecing (EPP) quilt, and a Limelight quilt made from colorful, scrappy fabric in primarily oranges and pinks. My finished quilts included one that was on my UFO list last year - the Bertie’s Autumn wool quilt kit that I bought at Calico Annie’s in Fullerton, Nebraska. That quilt caught my eye the moment I walked in
